Makenna-Maire is my princess....she was born on February 11th 1999 at 3:47 AM after 3 days of labour...( ya tell me about it)...She was born in East genreal Hospital about 5 blocks from my house....the day that I went into labour...and I left my house to go to the hospital I cried...I dont know if I was crying because I was scared or because the realization of being a mom was about to happen......

Makenna weighed 7 Lbs 12 Oz when she was born...and she was 20 1/2 inches long...I remember seeing her for the first time...I gasped and I cried ( at that point I didnt name her yet) There were a few names that I had in mind through out the 9 months...some included Emma, Hannah, Rebecca, Evan if she was a boy, James and Lucus...going into the hospital if it was a boy my name I had for her was Evan James Childs and for a girl I still was choosing between Hannah-Lee and Makenna-Marie I debated for about 5 mins saying both of the girls names out loud...and then finally...Makenna-Maire looked at me while I said that name so I kept it! these pictures that u see are not all the best quality but it gives u an idea...( were taken from a pic of a pic *note to self get a scanner*) the picture of Makenna alone that was the very first picture of her..about 2 mins after she was born....and the other picture is of me in middle (pardon my apparence but you try having a baby and see wat u look like) with my mom and dad and a bunch of friends that were waiting for me in the waiting room ( the doctors let them all come in since I was the only patient in that ward at that time)

Well February 13th was the day that we went home WOW I was a mom..you know it didnt really click until she called me that...I was 17 years old when I had her 2 months before my 18th birthday...Ive had alot of suport and alot of help by family and freinds( considering her father decided he wasnt mature enough to stay) but it doesnt bother me like it use to...I have enough love for a mother and a father to give her!

It was hard getting adjusted to being a young mother; but I knew that I had to do it...and I knew that I was gonna be a good mom too! The feedings, the diaper changes (OMG some where bad) the feedings, the crying, the feeding, the diaper changes.......it took a tool on me...they say that when there are newborns its the hardest...I dont believe in that to be honest I think its alot easier than the "terrible twos"....

That picture of Makenna was taken in August of 1999 she was 6 months old....Having a baby is one of the best gifts from God you can be special enough to recieve...Yes; I know I was young...but I over came that...Having Makenna forced me to grow up and get away from all the "wrong" things that I was involved with when I was a teenager...Christmas was fun with "Santa" I got a kick out of seeing her open the presents...then she turned one..so fast it was like a blink of and eye....talking her to malls the parks Chuck Cheese, going out to the beach ....all kinds of things...then she grew some more....

LOL this is one of my favourite pictures I ever took of her...she was 2 1/2 hehe...mom and Makenna had a "modeling day" with the camera; needless to say....I took pics of her...one thing that I noticed is that she looks like my mom, I mean she looks like me too ( and her dad) but my family thinks she looks like my mom more than me...Ive never cut her hair...not once:)

Makennas God parents are Catharine and Kevin ( you can see them on my friends page) Like I said...Ive known them all my life..and theres always there for Makenna and I...When Makenna was about one...she started going to daycare...she met alot of new people...and she learned new things...shes been in the same daycare...the teachers are great...there more like friends to her...

Shes a fan of Franklin, Blue Clues, Barney (God help me lol), Caillou and she LOVES Spiderman....I cant get her away from it...she plays on the computer once and awhile, she has her games she likes....but now shes into writing on word hehe its all good pratice...She paints and colours all the time..my fridge and walls are covered with stuff she has made me...
